Our History

Watson High School opened in 2005 after renovations were made to divide the building into two separate campuses. Since that time, Watson has served as a vital support system for EMS ISD students who need an alternative environment to reach their academic goals.

The Community We Serve

Watson High School serves eligible students from all four of EMS ISD’s comprehensive high schools.

To be considered for enrollment:
  • A student must be currently enrolled in one of EMS ISD’s high schools
  • The student must obtain an application from their home campus counselor
  • Once completed, the counselor will submit the application to Watson
  • Applications are evaluated every 3–4 weeks based on availability
  • Families will be contacted for an interview with the principal
  • Priority is given to older students first
Watson partners with families to ensure students are supported both academically and personally—because every student deserves the chance to succeed.
