Eight Hollenstein Career and Technology Center future educators advanced to the TAFE state conference after a strong showing at regionals at Tarleton State University’s Fort Worth campus. The students will compete in Galveston Feb. 26–28, building on classroom-based training in lesson planning, interviews, materials creation and public speaking.

Community members, businesses, and supporters teamed up for the EMS Education Foundation’s annual golf tournament, raising more than $54,000 for scholarships and district programs.
